The role involves leading the management of critically ill patients in the ICU, including those with complex medical, surgical, and trauma-related conditions. Expertise in advanced airway management, mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and multi-organ support is essential.
Requirements
- Recognized board certification in Critical Care Medicine (or Anaesthesia/Internal Medicine with Critical Care subspecialty certification).
- Proven experience in the Cardiac Unit.
- Proven experience managing high-acuity ICU patients.
- Lead the comprehensive management of critically ill adult patients in the ICU, including those with medical, surgical, trauma, and post-transplant conditions.
- Provide advanced expertise in airway management, mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, renal replacement therapy, and multi-organ support.
- Perform bedside procedures such as central venous catheterization, arterial line insertion, thoracentesis, and percutaneous tracheostomy.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesiology, surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, pulmonology, and infectious disease specialists.
